ABOUT THE ROYAL ORDER OF UNICORN
OUR HISTORY
The Royal Order of Unicorn was formed in 1983 as a mystic krewe in Acadiana. For more than four decades, ROU has brought people together through Mardi Gras, friendship, community, and tradition. What began as a krewe has grown into a close-knit family dedicated to celebrating Mardi Gras while giving back to the community.

Every year, our members come together to create costumes, celebrate Mardi Gras, and prepare for our annual Bal Masque. ROU is more than a Mardi Gras krewe — we are a family that enjoys making memories together and sharing the spirit of Mardi Gras with our community.
